The "tell your baby that i am your baby" reminds me every time my dad. He was abusive my whole childhood he never showed me any kind of love or affection or at least that he cares a bit about me while he was giving his heart on my little sister. He was always hugging,kissing her tell her that she loves her he was never abusive to her he was a completely different person and he still be like this. I am grown up now i dont feel jealous of my lil sister but sometimes i am wondering why he only loved her and not me? I mean i was a lil girl too i wanted his love too but he never did it,why? Its something wrong with me that makes him be like this to me? I will never understand him

i know all of these comments are talking about how this song relates to their own situations so ill just throw my hat in the ring here. ever since i first heard those first few lyrics, i associated them with me and my dog. "my baby, my baby. youre my baby, say it to me. baby, my baby. tell your baby that im your baby." yesterday, june 14th, 2024, my baby left this world. all i can think of is this song. she was my baby, and i held her in my arms as she went. she lived almost 14 years, her birthday was on august 20th. it was time for her to go, so we had to let her go. today was my first full day without her and i went out to her grave to lay on a blanket and watch the clouds. my mom joined me and we laughed, cried, snacked on food and watched the clouds. then we saw this one cloud that looked exactly like my dog. she was a dalmatian, and she had this one spot next to her nose. the cloud looked exactly like her, nose spot and everything. i immediately started crying because my baby showed me she was okay. at least thats how i interpret it. basically, tl;dr: this song makes me think of my baby, my dog gracie. my baby girl. youll always be my baby honey 💕

I haven't started listening to this song for the first time, but I'm glad I will. I have a lot of friends a grade above me and it was just their last day at school... and I'm sad. Yet hopeful.
